KISH: When did you first realize this was your dream or purpose? Was there a defining moment that set you on this path?
Gloria: I can’t point to one single moment when I realized I was operating in my purpose. It was more of a pattern God kept confirming over time. I started noticing that after every speaking engagement, I would leave with a deep fulfillment in my spirit and in my soul. It wasn’t just excitement from being on a platform, it felt like alignment, like I had done what I was born to do. That feeling stayed with me, and I began to long for it more and more. The more I served, the clearer it became that this wasn’t just something I was good at, it was something I was called to. That inner fulfillment became my confirmation.
KISH: What challenges or obstacles have you faced while pursuing your dreams, and how did you overcome them?
Gloria: One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced while pursuing my dreams has been being misunderstood. When people don’t fully understand who you are, what you carry, or the assignment on your life, it can lead to misjudgment. And that misjudgment can sometimes limit opportunities, relationships, or access to rooms you know you’re called to. I overcame that by staying grounded in God and secure in my identity. I stopped trying to convince people and started focusing on obedience. I learned to let consistency speak for me, to keep showing up with excellence, and to trust that what is truly for me cannot be blocked by misunderstanding. I also learned to stop taking rejection personally when it was really redirection. Every closed door taught me how to refine my voice, strengthen my confidence, and keep building what God told me to build.
KISH: What motivates you to keep going, especially during difficult or uncertain times?
Gloria: What motivates me to keep going, especially during difficult or uncertain times, is my relationship with God. When life feels unclear, I anchor myself in prayer and trust that His plan for my life is still working, even when I can’t see the full picture. I’m also strengthened by my accountability circle. They keep me grounded, covered, and consistent. In seasons where it would be easy to quit, their support, wisdom, and encouragement remind me of who I am, what I carry, and what I’m called to finish.
KISH: How has your background or life experience shaped who you are today and influenced your work?
Gloria: My background has shaped me deeply and influences everything I do today. I grew up in the projects of Miami, Florida, in a community surrounded by poverty. Seeing struggle up close taught me resilience, determination, and the reality that cycles don’t break on their own. At the same time, I was raised in church, and I had a praying grandmother who taught me how to pray. That foundation became the difference maker in my life. Prayer kept me, shaped me, and grew me through every season. It taught me how to endure, how to hear God, and how to keep moving when life didn’t make sense.
Gloria: To this day, prayer is still my lifeline. It’s my support system and my counsel. It’s the reason I can lead, teach, and pour into others with confidence, because I’m not doing it from my strength alone, I’m doing it from what prayer built in me.
KISH: What accomplishment are you most proud of so far, and why does it hold special meaning for you?
Gloria: The accomplishment I’m most proud of so far is the woman I have become. I can genuinely look at my life and see a beautiful, fulfilled future ahead, and I love who I am still becoming.
This holds special meaning for me because it didn’t come easy. I was shaped through hardship, painful seasons, unhealthy relationships, and even traditions and mindsets I had to unlearn. Those experiences didn’t destroy me, they developed me. They revealed parts of me that needed healing, boundaries, and growth, and they pushed me into transformation. Honestly, if I could go back in time, I wouldn’t redo what I went through differently. Those moments showed me who I was, exposed what I lacked, and helped me make the changes I needed to become who I am today.
KISH: What sets you apart from others in your field? What makes your story or brand unique?
Gloria: What sets me apart is my willingness to be truly transparent about what I’ve been through. A lot of people are comfortable sharing the polished parts of their story, but they avoid the chapters where they were still learning, where they made bad decisions, where they were operating in ignorance, or where they may have even played a role in the pain they experienced. I’m not afraid to tell the whole story, because I’ve learned that transparency isn’t weakness, it’s healing. When you bring the truth into the light, it breaks shame, it breaks cycles, and it helps other people feel seen instead of judged. And honestly, transparency takes the ammunition from the enemy. When you own your story, the enemy can’t use it to control you. My brand is built on real transformation, not perfection, and that authenticity is what makes my story and my work unique.
KISH: What advice would you give to someone who is afraid to pursue their dreams or feels stuck in their current situation?
Gloria: If you’re afraid to pursue your dreams or you feel stuck, my advice is simple but powerful: trust God and step out on faith, even if it’s small. Start by praying and being honest with God about what you’re feeling. Ask Him to expose the root of the fear, strengthen your confidence, and give you the courage to move forward. Fear doesn’t always leave before you move, but it does lose power when you obey anyway. Then take one practical step. One phone call. One application. One post. One class. One plan. Progress comes from movement, not perfection. And don’t try to do it alone. Seek a coach or mentor who can help you get clear, hold you accountable, and guide you through the process. Sometimes you don’t need more motivation, you need structure, support, and someone who believes in you while you’re learning to believe in yourself.
KISH: What’s next for you? Share any upcoming projects, goals, or visions you’re excited about.
Gloria: What’s next for me is expansion. I’m entering a season where God is stretching what I’ve built and increasing my reach, my impact, and my assignments. I’m excited about growing my platforms, elevating my programs and services, and bringing my message to more rooms, cities, and communities. This next chapter is about building bigger, moving with greater strategy, and creating legacy level outcomes for the women and organizations I’m called to serve. Expansion for me isn’t just more, it’s deeper. More alignment. More excellence. More influence. More fruit.
